The TET Stadium & Events Centre in Inglewood is managed by the Taranaki Community Stadium Trust. The overall aim of the Taranaki Community Stadium Trust is to ensure that the stadium, track and function rooms are accessible to the widest range of individuals and groups from around Taranaki and the rest of New Zealand, for use that ranges from sport to business, private functions to major tourist events.

In 1985, the Taranaki Centre NZ Amateur Athletics Association set up the Taranaki Community Stadium Trust for the purpose of raising funds to build an all-weather athletic track in New Plymouth. The track and complex project was considered by the New Plymouth District Council in late 1997, and after reviewing several possible locations work began on the complex at Jubilee Park in Inglewood, the traditional home for Athletics in Taranaki, in the early 2000's. The project was the result of the vision of Olympic athlete Norman Read and many individuals, clubs and local businesses gave time and energy to the project.

Since then the venue has enjoyed patronage from Inglewood United Rugby Football Club and Inglewood and Taranaki Athletics, and drawn big sporting events like Ranfurly Shield matches, the Colgate Games and as a training venue for the FIFA U20 Football World Cup.

In 2016 the TET Stadium & Event Centre will replace the original track with a new Olympic class Mondo track which will make this the newest one of its kind in New Zealand.
