This coaching session is suitable for managers who want to understand the legislative requirements surrounding bullying and harassment. if you want to know what to do when faced by such behaviors, including procedures for handing and investigating associated complaints. This session is for you.

  • Legislative frameworks, policies and procedures, and employer obligations
  • Disciplinary processes: issues surrounding summary dismissal and suspension 
  • Understanding issues around personal grievance claims, resignation and constructive dismissal

Bullying and harassment have been all too common in New Zealand workplaces. They represent a considerable threat to workers' safety and well being, and negatively affect performance and productivity. the foundation-level course for managers will help you understand what constitutes bullying and harassment, and the legislative frameworks that govern them. It will help you to be procedurally fair when handling complaints and managing investigations.
