TSB is awarded its fifth Canstar Blue Award

New Plymouth, New Zealand – TSB has won the Canstar Blue Overall Customer Satisfaction Award for the fifth time, following the release of Canstar Blue research on Monday 7 May 2018.
This is fifth time in six years that TSB has won the award. TSB interim managing director and acting CEO Murray Bain says that this announcement, along with the Bank winning its third-consecutive Consumer NZ Customer Satisfaction award for Banking last month, shows that TSB is true to its customer-first promise.
“For TSB to receive this award for the fifth time is a testament to how much passion and commitment our people put into their interactions with each and every one of our customers,” says Murray.
“I’m proud of our entire team for consistently raising the bar on our products and services and it’s clear from the 5-star Canstar ratings across all categories that our customers appreciate it.”
Canstar Blue’s research results show that New Zealand banks are providing the greatest service to their customers, with The Co-operative Bank and Kiwibank also receiving top ratings. Canstar Blue general manager Jose George says this is encouraging for domestic financial service providers.
“This consolidates what we saw in 2017 with the New Zealand institutions outscoring their Australian owned counterparts in most aspects of our research.”
Canstar Blue commissioned I-view to survey New Zealand consumers across a range of categories to measure and track customer satisfaction. The outcomes reported are the results from New Zealanders who have one or more accounts or products with a bank – in this case, 2,425 New Zealanders. Customer service and complaints and enquiries handling were the highest drivers of satisfaction when it came to what New Zealanders thought of their banks.
