Health and Social Services
Tui Ora is the largest community-based health and social services provider in Taranaki. Established in 1998 it now incorporates about 40 services and programmes that strengthen whānau wellness and quality of living.
Services cover all age groups and include; primary health, GP clinic Tui Ora Family Health, public health promotion and community support, child & youth health and social services, mental health and addiction services.
Tui Ora is governed by a structure that represents the eight iwi in Taranaki. The organisation is strengthened by membership of Te Kawau Mārō alliance, the single contract for Māori health services in Taranaki. This coalition includes South Taranaki iwi Ngā Ruāhine and Ngāti Ruanui along with the Taranaki District Health Board.
