Located in New Plymouth, with extensive experience servicing the oil and gas, forestry and agricultural industries, Port Taranaki is the only deep water seaport on New Zealand's west coast.
A modern port with nine fully-serviced berths providing a full range of marine providoring, stevedoring, ship agency and government border protection services, Port Taranaki is able to handle diverse cargoes, including:

We also have specialist experience in the handling of heavy lift and project cargoes.
Our operational area is comprehensive. It includes rail links to wharf sides, weatherproof storage and unloading facilities, container laydown and transfer site, and weighbridge services. We are directly linked to rail yards on the eastern outskirts of New Plymouth, and rail services to the north and south connect the Taranaki region to other centres. For road transport, Taranaki is accessed via State Highway 3 to the north and south.
