Placement Support Coordinator

Full Time - Fixed Term 13 months.

The Taranaki Chamber of Commerce (TCC) is a well-established and respected organisation that has been at the forefront of promoting, supporting and enabling business in Taranaki since 1936.  In July 2020, we established the Chamber Hub in Bell Block to provide a service for connecting jobseekers with employers.

We are seeking a confident, dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the team in the role of Placement Support Coordinator at Chamber Hub. If you have a background in recruitment and/or administration, are able to build long-lasting relationships and passionate about helping businesses and people, then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with identifying, matching and placing job seekers with employers in Taranaki
  • Documenting and recording all communication/contact with job seekers and employers
  • Liaison with current and potential employers to identify their current or future labour needs and assisting job seekers with applications
  • Accurate and timely data entry
  • Provision of post placement support to clients
  • Providing administration and reception duties at Chamber Hub
  • Building and managing collaborative relationships with all stakeholders

We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities for this role:

  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Self‐motivated and results orientated
  • Previous administration experience with strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in working with employers and job seekers would be advantageous

Young Enterprise Scheme Coordinator
Fixed Term – 13 months (July 2022-July 2023) - 20 hours per week

The Taranaki Chamber of Commerce is a well-established and respected organisation that has been at the forefront of promoting, supporting and enabling business in Taranaki since 1936.  We deliver a broad range of services to our members, including events, training, advocacy, employment services and coordination of the Young Enterprise Scheme, Network of Trades and the Business and Retail Association. 

For over 20 years, the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce has been contracted to run the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme. It is an opportunity for high school students to experience the start-up world first-hand, by setting up and running a real business.

We are seeking a confident, dynamic and self-motivated individual to provide cover for maternity leave on a fixed term contract. If you are passionate about working with young people, have exemplary communication skills, flexibility and strong relationship management skills then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

  • Regular communication with students, teachers and businesses
  • Close liaison with the Young Enterprise Trust and facilitation of the YES annual programme
  • Retention of existing schools and growth of student participants

Partnership & Events Assistant
Permanent Part-time – 20 hours per week

We deliver a broad range of services to our members, including events, training, advocacy, employment services and coordination of the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES), Network of Trades (NOTs), Circulate (NFP) and the Business and Retail Association (BARA). 

We are seeking a confident, dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the team in the role of Partnership & Events Assistant. If you have a background in administration, are able to build long-lasting relationships and passionate about helping businesses and people, then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Partnership, Events and BARA Managers by providing excellent administration support
  • Ensuring that all benefits and entitlements for TCC Partners are monitored and utilised
  • Documenting and recording accurate records for all Partnership Agreements and Events registration and ticketing
  • Providing support to the BARA Manager for promotions and consultations
  • Building and managing collaborative relationships with all stakeholders
