Deputy Chair

Director, Manager Planning and Environment - BTW

I have served on the Chamber board for the past 6 years and I am proud to have contributed to the strong position the Chamber currently finds itself in.

I believe the most valuable asset the Chamber offers is the network, support and platforms to connect with others in the business community.  As a business community when we connect, work together and support each other we all benefit. There is no doubt our business community is facing some challenging times, and will continue to do so, but there are also many new opportunities and I’m confident if we work together and embrace change Taranaki will continue to be a great place to live, work and play.

I am a director of BTW Company and head up the Planning and Environment Teams within the business.  I am extremely lucky to manage some amazingly bright, talented and dedicated staff within a company that has been a mainstay of the Taranaki business community since 1973.  I often reflect on how blessed we are to live in such an amazing region with so much to offer. My wife Tineka is Head of Languages at New Plymouth Boys’ High School and we have two school aged daughters.  I serve on the Board of Trustees at Central School - Te Kura Waenga o Ngāmotu.

I have enjoyed my time on the Board to date and am looking forward to continuing to add value for the Chamber.
